Raisa Banfield

Raisa Banfield is an Architect who dedicated herself to the practice of architectural design and construction for 15 years, founding her own firm Estudio R.G.B.,S.A. Later, with the reversal of the Panama Canal and its natural and historical heritage, she became involved in environmental and urban defense and social activism. She helped to found the Environmental Advocacy Center, oriented to the defense of the environment and citizen participation, and the Panama Sustainable Foundation, with the objective of promoting practices and articulating projects focused on sustainable development and natural protection.

Between 2014-2019, Raisa served as the Vice Mayor of Panama City, where she was responsible for the City Development Plan and coordination with municipal bodies related to land management. Raisa holds a degree in Business Administration from the Center of Higher Studies of the Panamanian Association of Business Executives in 1994.
